Our current raiding policies:
When raiding you have 9-24 other people relying on you to be efficient with not only your own time, but theirs as well. Please take the following requirements for raiding with Sons of Liches seriously, as they are required for attending our raids. If you cannot put forth 100% of your effort while you are there, do not expect to be invited to the raid. If you are perceived to be “slacking off” or causing problems in the raid by cluttering raid chat with irrelevant chatter, you will promptly be replaced. Peoples time in raids is valuable and we’d rather not waste it. Failure to adhere to these guidelines is grounds for your removal from the raid.
Preparation:
1) Members are expected to show up at the raid location on-time.
2) Members are expected to have their gear fully repaired, consumables for the raid (please prepare BEFORE arriving), money for repairs, etc.
3) Members should have whatever necessary add-ons to function properly in the raid. (Currently we require Deadly Boss Mods and Omen Threat Meter by ALL members
4) Members should have ventrilo and be able to AT LEAST listen to the chat.
5) Members are expected to have knowledge of the night's mobs and know their jobs/responsibilities in those fights.
Conduct:
1) Raid chat/Ventrilo is to be used for discussion of the current raid.
2) Keep your AFKs to an absolute minimum. If an emergency arises, let the raid leader and/or officer in the raid know before you go.
3) Do NOT go ahead of the Raid Leader/Main tank unless explicitly told to do so.
4) If you need to leave the raid early for whatever reason, let the Raid Leader know as far in advance as possible so that a replacement can be set in line.
5) Please keep quiet while the Raid Leader is explaining an encounter/pull/boss fight, etc. It is highly distracting when multiple people are talking on Ventrilo/raid chat.
6) If you are not in the raid, feel free to listen in on the Ventrilo channel, but please be courteous to the raid and do not just start talking without first checking with the Raid Leader.
7) Do not yell over Ventrilo. Ever.
8) Do not loot in combat unless specifically asked to do so by an Officer or Raid Leader. Accidents happen, however habits are noted. This is incredibly distracting for the raid.
Waitlist:
1) If you are not in the raid after the first round of invites, whisper “wl add” to the officer holding the waitlist. Check the current GMOTD for the person to whisper.
2) While on the waitlist, you are free to do whatever you want so long as you are able to join the raid when asked. You will have a 5-minute window to accept an invite and finish whatever you’re doing before you lose your spot to the next person.
3) Whenever possible, the Raid Leader/Officer will let you know ahead of time that a raid slot is opening up.
4) If you log on an alt, please tell the officer holding the waitlist the name of your alt.
5) While on the waitlist, do not repeatedly ask the raid leader or officers if there is a spot open—once a spot opens and you are up, you will know.
6) Time spent on the waitlist will accrue you DKP (if applicable). Your Main must be outside of the zone entrance and ready to go to be eligible for waitlist DKP.
Loot Rules (Karazhan/Zul'Aman):
1) Karazhan and Zul'Aman loot will be rolled on (/random 100). Highest roll wins the item.
2) Winning 1 item will lower you by one (1) tier. You may not win an item over someone who is one (1) tier or more above you.
3) If a drop is a minor upgrade for you, but a serious upgrade for someone else in the raid, you are not required to pass on the item, but in the interest of building up a solid raid group, consider passing it to someone who needs the item more. Bear in mind that raiding is a team effort.
4) “Selling” winning rolls is strictly prohibited.
5) You cannot pass an item to anyone other than the next highest roller unless agreed upon by all affected parties.
6) If an item drops that is beneficial to your class but not your spec, and no members of the appropriate class/spec wants the item, then an exception may be made in regards to the tier system. If this is determined, then this item will be awarded and not count towards your current tier status. Exceptions will be ultimately left to the discretion of the Raid Leader and/or other officers. Also the flexibility of this is partially dependent on the current cache of void crystals in the Guild Bank's possession.
Loot Rules (25-man Raids):
1) All 25-man Raids will use a DKP system.
Enchanting Recipes/Crafting Patterns:
All first-time drops for Rare recipes/patterns will go to officers/class advisors first. After a recipe/pattern is learned by an officer/class advisor, subsequent drops of that recipe/pattern can be rolled on by any member. This is to ensure rare craftable items/enchants remain in guild. Furthermore, if you cannot learn the pattern on the spot, you are ineligible to roll on it regardless of rank.
